Conditions of Let

CAMPING AND SLEEPING OUT
  • Camping is permitted within the boundary walls of Blackburn Cottage and will be charged at a lower rate. Sleeping in cars or camper vans will be regarded as camping. 
  • Campers must not remove dormitory or other Cottage equipment for use outside the Cottage.
 
LIMITATIONS ON USE
  • Dogs must be kept under control at all times.
  • All persons sleeping in the Cottage must provide themselves with a sheet or sleeping bag.
  • Smoking is not permitted in any part of the Cottage.
  • The total number of people sleeping in Blackburn Cottage must not exceed the number of beds available. Sleeping on the floor is not allowed.
  • Mains operation of personal electrical appliances is prohibited.
 
DAMAGE AND BREAKAGES
  • Breakages of crockery must be paid for.
  • If any damage is caused to the fabric or equipment at the Cottage this must be reported to Wing HQ.
 
DUTIES OF OCCUPANTS
Occupants must carry out the following domestic duties during and at the end of their stay:
  • Wash, dry and store crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils as soon as possible after use.
  • Clean cooker and work surfaces after use.
  • Tidy all rooms and sweep floors.
  • Store all foodstuff in the shelves, boxes or larder and remove from the Cottage at the end of their stay.
  • Maintain cleanliness of toilet area.
  • Take all rubbish with them on departure.
  • Notify Wing of any imminent shortages of fuel or cleaning materials.
 
NOTICES
Occupiers must acquaint themselves with the special instructions given on notices within the Cottage regarding the Fire precautions, gas installation, heating, water supply, lighting and drainage.

MAR ESTATE
The surrounding area is a working estate and whilst the Wing has a block booking on the land we should take care to preserve the current environment and any ongoing sporting activities.
